About Me

I am a registered midwife and nurse currently working for the local NHS Trust in Exeter and surrounding area,  providing  care for women antenatally, during labour and birth and in the postnatal period.

I have been a midwife for over 10 years.  I am passionate about  what I do and ensuring couples are adequately prepared for this amazing journey to parenthood. Aiming to preserve and enhance a woman's independence and dignity and actively encouraging the involvement of family and close friends.

As a mother of three myself I know how special becoming a parent can be....also a little daunting too!  I also took the steps to have antenatal classes in addition to the NHS classes with my husband.  It was in my opinion the best thing we did.  The friends we made we still keep in touch with 10 years later!  We all supported each other through those tough first weeks.

My aim is to deliver a great course with lots of laughter along the way.  I am a member of the Royal College of Midwives and my practice is regulated by the Local Supervisory of Midwives Authority and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.  I am fully insured for practice as an independent midwife.
