 | “I’m the sort of person that needs to be armed with all the information, all the what if’s and every possible outcome before I do something. And for me, labour was no different. I needed to know what to expect and any coping mechanisms I could draw upon to get me through. 🧘🏻♀️💪 I’m a FTM but my partner had already had a child in a previous relationship. He was adamant that he knew all about birth, labour and looking after a new born and a Parentwise course wouldn’t be of any use to him. However, after the first session we were both hooked and looked forward to going every week! ❤️ . It prepared me so much for the labour that as my due date got nearer all I felt was excitement and anticipation! Not only did everything I learnt help me through the labour, but my once skeptical partner felt confident that he knew exactly what was going on and how he could help me. 👨👩👧 . The loveliest thing to come out of the course was that it helped me to connect with the most fabulous group of ladies! We meet at least once a week for coffee ☕️ (and cake of course), attend baby classes together and have ‘mums’ nights outs. It’s so nice to know a group of women going through the same thing as you and to be able to bond over life with a new baby and bounce different ideas off each other 💕 Sometimes it's just nice to have someone to talk to on Whatsapp during the ‘night shift’ 💤 and no matter how much you feel it, to know that you are not alone. Without Parentwise I would never have connected with such a fab group!” . |
