2020 Parentwise Mum to Be
"I was feeling apprehensive about the thought of labour and I didn’t want to know too much. Thinking about the birth had me panicking but after doing a Parentwise course I feel so much more prepared and reassured. It’s also been helpful to hear the first hand experiences of previous Parentwise parents." 👶🏻⠀ .⠀ "Paddy was fantastic, she had a great sense of humour throughout the course and had lots of great insight and knowledge due to being a midwife." 🌟⠀ |

She shares her favourite thing about teaching Parentwise below! ⤵️⠀ .⠀ "My favourite thing about teaching Parentwise courses is meeting all the mums and dads to be and watching those friendships grow. Preparing them for the most amazing journey to parenthood. When I reenact the birth of a baby with my woolly uterus, the reaction from everyone is fantastic. ⠀ .⠀ My top tip for labour and life as a new mum is - Trust your instincts!" 💯⠀ |

2019 Parentwise mummy - First Time Mum
“I’m the sort of person that needs to be armed with all the information, all the what if’s and every possible outcome before I do something. And for me, labour was no different. I needed to know what to expect and any coping mechanisms I could draw upon to get me through. 🧘🏻♀️💪 I’m a FTM but my partner had already had a child in a previous relationship. He was adamant that he knew all about birth, labour and looking after a new born and a Parentwise course wouldn’t be of any use to him. However, after the first session we were both hooked and looked forward to going every week! ❤️ . It prepared me so much for the labour that as my due date got nearer all I felt was excitement and anticipation! Not only did everything I learnt help me through the labour, but my once skeptical partner felt confident that he knew exactly what was going on and how he could help me. 👨👩👧 . The loveliest thing to come out of the course was that it helped me to connect with the most fabulous group of ladies! We meet at least once a week for coffee ☕️ (and cake of course), attend baby classes together and have ‘mums’ nights outs. It’s so nice to know a group of women going through the same thing as you and to be able to bond over life with a new baby and bounce different ideas off each other 💕 Sometimes it's just nice to have someone to talk to on Whatsapp during the ‘night shift’ 💤 and no matter how much you feel it, to know that you are not alone. Without Parentwise I would never have connected with such a fab group!” . |
